APPLICATION FORM FOR THE ORGANIZATION OF CONGRESSES OF THE EUROPEAN SOCIETY OF PARENTERAL AND ENTERAL NUTRITION (ESPEN)

From the year 2000 the procedure for the appointment of future congress venues (starting with ESPEN '04) is being conducted on a rational basis in step with recent changes in ESPEN's structure and organization.

The main points are as follows:

• The applicant will be the President of the relevant National Society of Nutrition (NSN).

• The NSN appoints i) the congress President, the Scientific President, and iii) the Educational and Clinical Practice President, who will serve on the ESPEN Executive Committee (EXEcom), the ESPEN Scientific Committee (SCIcom) and the ESPEN Educational and Clinical Practice Committee (ECPcom) respectively, in conditions defined in the ESPEN constitution. These three persons must be known to ESPEN.

• Applying to organize the ESPEN congress requires agreeing to comply with the ESPEN rules as defined in the ESPEN constitution and the "congress organization" documents (1-6).
