on early provision of nutritional support in order to achieve optimal growth and development.
4. Many risk factors associated with cardiovascular disease in adulthood are present in children including obesity, hyperlipidaemia, sedentary lifestyle
and poor nutrition. Nutritional intervention is the primary approach in the management of dyslipidaemias in children and essential complementary intervention in children needing pharmacotherapy.
